| Some day, Koreans will figure out cental heating. Hopefully, that will be the day when hot water, soap and towels appear in public washrooms. Sweet Jesus! Is this just one step above Mongolia? Beneath the thin veneer of civilization, this is utter barbarism; and it's not just for me-- when I have a three-hour class, the heating, such as it is, comes on for one hour. By the third hour, it's intolerably cold and I have to dismiss the class early, because we're all shivering. Teaching and learning does not happen in such an enviroment. |

| Sorry to res. this thread but I am getting tired of bitter cold showers. By the way, I am in Korea now. I arrived last Sunday. Most everything has been smooth sailing aside from the Arctic showers I am taking. I have the three dial, five button thermostat control mentioned in this thread. Having read this entire thread, I am still at a loss on how to figure out the many dials and buttons. My question is...what settings should I choose to make my shower water hot? Any help will be greatly appreciated! |

There are many different makes of Thermostat control panels. It's impossible to advise you without seeing your particular one.
One thing for sure is that your neighbors will have the same panel. It might be a good excuse to introduce yourself to your neighbor and ask them how to control heating and hot water. If you're lucky one of your neighbors will speak enough English.
Otherwise, posting a digital picture of it here should get you answers you need. |
