I joined the evil ranks of Hanmail today. My girlfriend helped me.

I tried Paran, but they kept denying my foreigner number. It didn't match my name in the system... have no idea what my name must be in there, so couldn't do it.

At least I can now e-mail Koreans.

I hear Gmail is often blocked by Korean e-mail companies too.

I use Gmail to send messages to hanmail accounts and haven't had any problems as of yet..

i sent an email using gmail to a hanmail account yesterday and it worked.

Talk about having a bad business model. People join up because they wouldn't be able to communicate with their friends otherwise. And what's with having to give a citizenship number to register for some lousy website? Obviously, they don't want foreign business...or ideas.
