Howdy Everyone,
I teach middle school EFL in Yeosu. Yes, I'm a sucker, cause I actually like Middle school, despite the serious LACK or resources for the level. I taught a bit of ESL Social Studies back in Canada, and loved to use current events to promote class discussion. Well, I'm finding that the level of most of the news sites I've found is above my students, so I'm looking for a site with relatively low language level current events and stuff.
Actually, since I haven't really found much that satisfied my needs(free and easily accessible), AND since I know there are a ton of decent writers out there, I'm thinking about starting a Blog, that will carry news stories for ESL/EFLers.
I'm looking for people to help out. with contributions (stories with a list of definitions - once or twice a week.) No editors, so it's up to the contributor to edit their own stuff. Non-profit, using a free site, and not charging for anything is the plan.
