What is your favorite Mexican food restaurant in Seoul? I want to know where to go for the best. I am hoping there is at least one really good one, but feel free to respond with second or third best as well.

so far i've been to 2 - "taco" in itaewon. it's a greasy spoon, and the cheese is most likely mozzarella, but it's a good feed.

pancho's, also in itaewon, is bland as hell and over priced.

if there's any others, i'd like to know. i miss decent mexican food.

I saw an ad for a new Mexican restaurant in Yeoido... their motto was something along the lines of "stop eating bad Mexican food"

i forget the name or exact directions, but the ad was in the most recent K-Scene Magazine...

The best of the best Mexican restaurant in Korea!

La Salsa Loca

Hungry for Mexican food? Although there are a number of places where friends where can hang out and dine for Mexican cuisine, nothing could probably beat La Salsa Loca, a 100% Mexican restaurant visited by all kinds of people from various walks of life.

La Salsa Loca means The Crazy Sauce in Mexican and those who have tried the menu can't help but coming back.

One of the secrets, according to a restaurant employee, is that La Salsa Loca uses only the freshest ingredients. It even have to grow its own vegetables.

Apart from the mouth-watering salsa, it uses flavorful flour tortillas that are made fresh daily in-house with no need to add preservatives. What more, corn tortillas are from non genetically modified white corns. This guarantees a totally healthy menu which go well with the trend in Korea towards "well-being", or a healthy lifestyle.

When it comes to juices, beverage or sauce, La Salsa Loca doesn't buy mango juice bottles, but uses fresh mangoes. It doesn't use lime concentrate, we uses fresh limes instead. It brags its non-use of canned guacamole, but instead use fresh avocados to make the finest guacamole. The beans are fresh pinto beans to make refried beans.

The rest of the ingredients are all home-made to guarantee freshness, authenticity, and excellent taste, and good health.

Located in the heart of Yeouido in Seoul, it is very accessible either by subway, bus, or car.

Oh famous, thanks for the link. I'm all over that like flies on shit. Hopefully this might breath some new life into the humdrum Mexican scene over here.
