| Maybe you've seen the seed shops, for gardeners. Usually some down by the old fashioned food market for fish, rice.... |

I had a similar problem a few years ago and was told to try the pharmacies for rat poison. No luck. They wouldn't sell it to me. They gave some traps - which didn't work - but I had to call an exterminator to come drop the poison in the affected areas.
My Korean friends tell me I can buy the stuff in drugstores, but I'm not convinced.

I'm not Korean, and I've bought rat poison in drugstores several times. Perhaps the druggist thought you looked "depressed". |

When I lived in Seoul in the 70s rats were everywhere....there was a gov't campaign to wipe them out--you'd see posters everywhere showing a rat lying on its back w/ a dagger through its heart. There were open sewers all over the place teeming with rats...I lived on Yongsan Garrison and the sewers were all over the place there too (for example, running through the school grounds). Outdoor stalls in Itaewon sold these very cheap women's "fur" coats....
It was kind of cool and gruesome at the same time. I never saw rats like that in the States until I lived in Boston. |
