I may be about to sound like a dumb wet behind the ears Korea newbie here (and I am Very Happy ) but don't the Koreans have conversational forums? Doesn't Daum have something like that? How do their's work? Can you pilfer their methodology?

Also, yes, the Dokdo thread seems to be the closest to an international conversation you've had on there.
Perhaps controversy is the way to go.

Is it just a lack of connection to people they don't know? Shyness about their English.

Either way, I'll start recommending your site to folks I know if you like. I'll start trying to elicit responses from Korean seeming individuals on your site too. If we get them dragged in, maybe they'll stay. If they stay, maybe they'll bring friends. If they bring friends....Oh maybe I'm talking out my rear mouth again. I gotta watch that.

Anyway, here's hoping friend.

Controversy and time. You'll need to wait until there are enough regulars on the site to keep the threads interesting. I suppose I should register for your site, too...

Do Koreans have strong opinions as a rule? (strong opinions on anything besides nationalism that is)
If they don't it is not necessarily a bad thing, a lot of westerners have strong opinions on subjects they know next to nothing about.

Good question. I imagine they're much more likely to state their opinions as an anonymous person, though.
