Preach it, brother! I have consistently maintained that THE hottest women I've known in Korea are from Jeolla-do.

Me and my Seoul-ness.. which major cities consist of Jeolla-do?

Kwangju, Iksan, Yeosu, Mokpo, Kunsan, etc.

But there are some real hotties in the rural areas, like Derrek said. The thing is, many of them come to Seoul to make their way in the world.

Well, on the plus side.. many of those girls living there probably live with their parents.

Once they move here, they live alone. No more early curfews!

I have to agree with the Jeolla-do girls thing. My beautiful girlfriend is from Gunsan so there's one for sure!

P.S. I had to write this as she's reading over my shoulder! Wink

Seems to be a commonality with big umm... and tan skin from the Jeolla area.

I also find their Korean easier to understand.

Seoul people speak too smooth.

And they tend not to be rich snobs, and don't have the "buy me this" attitude, in my opinion.

According to one of my Seoul Korean female friends, though, be careful. They tend to be more apt to cut something off of you if you break up for bad reasons.

There is a sort of teasing that goes on between Seoul people and those from the Jeolla area. Something about them having tan skin, as well as being "not trustable," etc.

WARNING: Although it may seem harmless or funny to us, it DOESN'T help you any to joke about it with your Jeolla girlfriend. Unless her English is perfect, she won't get the joke, and will take it very personally as a smite against her family.

I found that out once, and it wasn't pretty.

My current gf is from Daegu, though, and she looks more Japanese than Korean. Never thought I'd meet a girl with whiter skin than mine! I generally go for the tan girls -- go figure.
