Precisely my point. Like I said, some people are more tuned in than others, some have no clue. Rolling Eyes

I remember my first day in Korea had only 176,000 won in my pocket no one came to visit me at the airport so I took the bus and headed for Seoul once there I had no idea where to go and stood there under the pouring rain looking at neon lights that meant nothing to me got a taxi and gave driver the address of the guy who was supposed to meet me at the airport after an hour he found the address and I found the guy who took me to a motel left me there picked me up the next morning took me to the bus station demanded a gift from me took a bottle of Canadian whisky told me not to get off the bus for seven hours and disappeared.

It was unending as the paragraph you just read and this was only one of a very thick book.

Does anyone remember that Amazing Race episode that they did in Korea?

While the people on the show are never the best travelers, they were always able to get their point across except for in Korea. They must have said Namsan Tower a million times, but because they were not saying the tower the Korean way the cabbies were completely lost.

Yeah, I saw that episode! What a depressing episode! Korea looked really bleak compared to Malaysia where they were at before.

What year was that? WHen I first came I remember my recruiter told me I must buy a bottle of whiskey as a gift for my employer. I always thought it was a bit odd.

This was exactly what I was asked as well. This was about 7 years ago.
