Geez... I just went to the bathroom at my workplace, and the cleaning lady was washing her foot in the sink- the same one that I use when I brush my teeth. I feel somewhat nauseated right now. I just thought I'd share my shock and disgust on this board because I know there's someone out there that can trump me. It's just the irony of it- here's the cleaning lady with her foot in the sink, and her job is to keep the place sanitary.

Another example comes to mind! I was at Bennigan's with my friend last year, and upon entering the ladies room, low and behold, there is a woman helping a 2 year old boy pee in the sink. He was standing on the counter, just 2 feet away from a child-sized urinal. I almost said something to her because I was absoutely outraged, but I maintained my poker face. Usually I take strange situations with a sense of humor, but that was just nasty. I also didn't say anything because I don't think it would have made a bit of difference. Obviously you have no concern for other people's health or cleanliness if you are conducting yourself in such an uncivilized way. Mind you, this was Bennigan's, not a countryside hole-in-the-wall.

When will things ever cease to amaze me?

Yeah, a lot of gross things happen here. One time I saw a guy on a message board beating a dead horse. It was sick. Horse guts and glue flying everywhere.

Well at least that is the correct room - I have seen moms here whip out juniors gochu in the middle of a Mc. Donalds so the little emperor could piss in a cup. No kidding. Seen it multiple times as well. Culture my ass- that is peasant behavior, pure and simple.

I've seen ajumaas with half-naked tots, and the tot is spouting in the middle of the street. I was new in Korea at that time and my questions regarding why the streets stank so much were answered.

Here's another peeve. Why, oh, why, do people spit next to the toilet instead of in it? Confused

Sink seems like a reasonable place to wash your feet -- why not?
Urine, for the record, is sterile & antiseptic.
I blowdry my crotch after the sauna -- whats the big deal?

Funny what some will obsess over.

Saw a woman helping her kid pee in a cup in the dairy section of Walmart. Who gave her the cup? The employees standing and watching in the dairy section.

Was in the men's washroom at the Carrefoure store. As I walked in, 3 employees were leaving, having used the urinal, but not WASHED THEIR HANDS!! As I was there, 2 more came in, used the urinals, walked by the sink and went back to work. Food section level. Wife wrote a complaint up.

Everybody's kid is pissing somewhere they shouldn't, usually boys 'cause that's the culture here(men, and boys, do whatever they want wherever they want).

That one really gets me going and I am NOT quiet about telling the idiot who using the dryer to blow dry his private AND get this...their anal area to stop it!!
How stupid are people!?!? I use (not any more though! I use that hair dryer to dry my hair!
I see these idiots every time I go to a sauna..squating down and blow drying their anal area!

Again -- one good reason why not? What am I missing here?
Its quick & easy & more effective than a damp towel.

There are people whose genitalia are diseased. If they use the blow dryer so that it is mixing it up with the pubic hairs and perhaps even touching skin, you have the potential for disease transmission to the next person who may use that dryer.

Besides that, it's just disgusting.

I don't care what anyone says...many koreans do NOT have manners and do NOT respect others or show respect.
Peeing in McD's! How awful! And we all know that McD's have restrooms!
Same with Wal-Mart!
And what's with the idiots who see it and say nothing?!?!?
Most k women do not have sophistication, grace or tact. And sure lack finesse!
What do they teach in school? Or is it learned behavior?
Miss Manners would have a field day in korea! Shed shake her head and sayforget it! No use even trying to educate them!
YeahI am knocking koreans this time and mean it. No need to let your child pee in a cup in a restaurant! Or pee next to a tree or a drainage hole when a restaurant is nearby or a shopping center is nearby with a restroom!
Why pee on a treeare you dogs?
I have seen GROW university girls..(they are not women)..squatting down next to a tree or building on campus peeing! Do I give then hell! And the stink eye and a tongue lashing! No need to be ignorant!
Go ahead and flame meI dont care! why should I let you or anyone get away with doing these types of things?
