there seems to be more subway restaurants per capita here in Daegu, compared to Seoul... so, er...Daegu is not Seoul. |
"Seems to be" being the key phrase. It seems to me that none of the three Subways I know of in Daegu are less than an hour's drive from my house. It also seems to be true that Japan is not Korea either. They have 98 Subways vs. Korea's 39.

Daegu has 10 subway restaurants now. That constitutes 25% of the stores in Korea. Daegu has less tan 25% of Seoul's poplulation.
So, per capita, Daegu is the leader.
Donairs can be bought in the food basement at Lotte Department Store Downtown.
Taco's can be found at VIPS' and at Freshia in Donga Sports Center.

I usually stick to Korean restaurants because it's delicious and cheap.[/quote]
If you like the Korean food up here, you'd love it in Chon ju. |

Someone should tell them to stop ordering waegook saram. I wonder how many hagwons/airportboys there are in Seoul. |
Not only hagwon and airport boys. |
Sorry, I don't count pretend people, if that's what you mean. |
Newsflash, hagwon jobs are not the only jobs out there. Just cause yer stuck in a haggie job .... |
I am? |

10 Subways? Perhaps, but do any have dill pickles? We can't even get a Lotteria in . I love Korean food, but sometimes I crave a kimchi burger, you know? |

| Daechidong? Gangnam sucks. GangBUK, pal. You don't live in Seoul, you live in a converted rice paddy. |

Gangnam is a great place to work...but I wouldn't want to live there.

Guess what?
New York ain't America.
Toronto ain't Canada.
Lima ain't Peru.
and Amsterdam sure as hell ain't Holland.
Metropolises, by virtue of their very size, take on an international homogenaity (sp?) that separates them--sometimes quite starkly--from the rest of their homeland. |
