Some Irish Drinking Toasts
May your glass be ever full
May the rook over your head be always strong
And may you be in heaven half an hour before the devil knows you're dead.
Here's to me, and here's to you, and here's to love and laughter--I'll be true as long as you, and not one moment after.
Here's a toast to your enemies' enemies!
Here's to a long life, and a merry one,
A quick death and an easy one,
A pretty girl and an honest one,
A cold beer--and another one!
Here's to wives and girlfriends: may they never meet!
May you live to be a hundred years, with one extra year to repent. |

"All you can drink" is at best false advertising in my experience.
I went to the Choson O'Kims (for ST. PATS) once and the service was pretty damn sad.
You should not advertise "All you can drink" and then "run out" at 11pm.
The buffet was good, however, I will admit.
They would be better off being honest and charging 20 000 won less and having a cash bar. |

Instead of wasting your cash getting all boozed up with the local contingent of Irishmen and their groupies, why not stay home and have a good think about the IRA, Sinn Fein and the vicious slaying of Robert McCartney? |

Ahem....What's wrong with going out and getting boozed up with other Irishmen. As long as everyone has polished their AK-47's first.
Wait a minute!! Do I have groupies!!!!
There's so much wrong with this post it's like pure wrongness. Very rare. |

No, I never wrote that. All I suggested was that perhaps people who mindlessly celebrate St. Patrick's Day should take a moment to consider the pain of others before leaping onto the bandwagon. |

Celebration and pain dont usually go hand in hand ;o) Why feel guilty for getting together, even if to mindlessly celebrate? Mindful celebration, mindless celebration, both are in good spirits. You may consider others' pain anytime you wish, and no one will pull you off the bandwagon of pain. So why throw rocks in the path of the bandwagon of celebration? That's my philosophy anyhoo ... |

If you want to focus on pain you can bring down any holiday. Why not spend your birthday thinking about your mom's horrible labour pains then?
Just enjoy the party. |
