I have a Malthese. It was really easy to train because I bought it when it was still very young. To potty train it only took about ten times You simply put it on the pee pad and turn it around in a cirlce three times. You can tell when it's about to do the nasty because when they are young they actually do turn around in a circle before they go. So just pick it up and put it on the pee pad and you're set. Still....it's not a purely carniverous dog, hence no plants on the floor.

However if you are planning on leaving in a year or two and not taking it with you, don't bother getting one.
