| I recently spliced together some AFN news reports where they were interviewing soldiers about events that were going on and had them talking about some other topics. I then played the tape for my morning business class and had the students correct their English. They couldn't immediately point out where a sentence was incorrect, but I stopped the tape and told them this sentence is wrong...they then fixed it perfectly. |

| A fun twist on this and a good listening comp exercise is to record a short news report/segment (either audio or video), create teams, and play the segment 5 or 6 times while each team tries to reconstruct the segment on paper. The team that reconstructs it the most accurately wins. |
