| From reading the archives, you all have great things to say about this area. How much is the rent for shared housing in Sinchon/Hongdae? Is shared accomodation possible in OfficeTels and dorms, or is it limited to apartments? Do you pay weekly or monthly? And can you stay short-term (ie. 1-2 months) in case you want to find another place in the future? |

Shared accomodation is possible wherever you and your friend want it to be. You will pay monthly. If you want to stay short-term, you'll probably need to find someone already living there who is willing to take you in. I doubt many landlords would accept a two-month sojourner.
As far as rent, you might be able to find some as low as 300-350 without a deposit, but they're rare and you'll have to ask a lot of real estate agents. A hasukjip might also be an option for you.
