Namhansanseong - the provincial fortress park - is one of my favorite places in the Seoul area. A really nice walk and some good food in Gwangju (try the duck, it's a local specialty).
Bundang is close by bus or subway. Seohyeon and Sunae seem to be the most happening spots. Good restaurants in Sunae and a bookstore in Seohyeon with some English titles.
You're a short subway/bus ride to Gangnam, too.
The place is actually pretty convenient, though Seongnam is a bit of a hole. |

Moran is the largest dog market in the country. Go there, take a left to Yatap in Bundang. Walk along the Tancheon canal. It's a nice place to ride a bike or do some jogging in the yellow dust. Drop by my old place. Kick the hell out of.... No. Don't do that. |
