| Koreans, in the main, despite their superficial acquaintance with 21st century technology, still live in the 18th century. Fan-death will kill you, woo-hoo! Kimchi will prevent avian flu, and, possibly, HIV. Strap on one of those surgical masks, and you're immune from everything. And somehow Koreans live an average seven years less than North Americans or Europeans, or -gasp!- nine years less than those pesky Japanese. |

Fan death huh? Talk about hot air!!
It is also possible that, despite great technological advancements, being the most wired country in the world, Koreans, nevertheless, are WIRED, utterly bored and need to relax. One way to achieve this is to see a bogeyman around every corner, even in a fan.
The down side is (as if the above is not a down side already) this may be the first symptom of a mass schizophrenia that's gripping the country.
However, the problem with madness is that... well, read my aphorism below. |
