Top 10 desires/fears Koreans keep a secret:

1. I wish I were an American.

2. I wish my name was Jonathan/Jennifer.

3. When my head hits the pillow I dream of speaking English fluently with perfect North American accent.

4. Ive studied English for twenty years. When in Canada I was put in level 1.

5. I dream of the day when Korea adopts English as its native language.

6. I am terrified of Western women.

7. I lost my virginity to a prostitute.

8. I sew my virginity back on the day before I got married. (Hey! Im a born again virgin!)
9. I work like a dog just to save money for an eye enlargement surgery.

10. I watch Western porn in the hopes of learning to be a better lover.

Top 10 fears/tricks TEFLers keep a secret in Korea:

1. Im not a teacher but I play one in Korea.

2. My vocabulary is inadequately small for a native speaker.

3. I dread when I have to teach the past perfect.

4. I never listen to a single word my students utter.

5. When my students speak, I always put my hand on my chin to give the aura that I'm actually listening when in fact Im doing my banking.

6. I went to Korea because I couldn't command the same level of respect back home.

7. Ive been in Korea for 5 years but tell everyone its been only 1 because I still cant utter a single complete sentence in Korean.

8. Korean women dont adore me as they should.

9. I hate Korea even though deep down I know there is no good reason to do so.

10. I think Im better than Koreans even though deep down I know I'm not.
