looking for a one roomer 10-17 pyongish
nothing fancy
typical amenities: heating, shower/toilet, kitchen, laundry machine
in bundang area

school wont be involved

what should i expect to put down for security deposit?
how bought monthly rent?

i also throw pots. would like to have a pottery studio instead of messing up my current place. anyone ever rented a place that is more utilitarian in nature and less fancy? wonder how to go about that with my limitted korean. don't want a basement, they arent heated and no hot water, shower, laundry. would love an all concrete place though with no furniture, just the amenities mentioned above.

how about scoring a place with roof access?

thanks

It sounds to me like you want an officetel. (But basement/semi-basements ARE heated). Ask someone at work what the price of officetels are in that neighborhood. They can also tell you what the formula is for deposit/rent.

I had a brand new place in Jeongja dong. It was about 11 pyeong, half basement. Five mil down and 400.000 a month. The only problem with it was that it was directly across from the middle school's field. If people closed the building's front doors it was not all that bad, but you know that never happened.
