This is a group devoted to the free exchange of ideas of how foreign teachers in Korea can work together to improve the quality of education and the working conditions in the ROK. It is the goal of this group to educate the Korean public about the abuses that foreign teachers face, and to find opportunities where we can contribute to the betterment of Korean society.

Please pass the word around. I think there are a lot of good people out there who can get involved and make a difference. I have a few ideas that I will toss out in hte next few days. The more the merrier, though.

Is that short for "fornicating?"

This topic of forming - not "forning" - a group or association came up in another thread a week or so ago, I think. There was, shall we say, a less than overwhelming response. You were one of the only respondents, as I recall.

I applaud you for actually doing something about it and I'd like to support your effort. It may end up being you and I and no one else, if there's no interest out there, but I can live with that.

Especially with these rumoured crackdowns coming and pressures possibly being brought on teachers as a whole, illegal OR legal teachers, it would be nice to know that there is a supportive body of fellow teachers out there.

I'd be interested in hearing more of your ideas, either on the board or as a PM. Good luck.

It's a bit of a confusing name. Is it for Korean Language teachers or is it (as I assume) for English teachers in Korea?
