Bleah. Saw Drunken Tiger live last fall. They sucked for all of the 20 mins they were on stage, doing little more than throwing out the f-#s. The openers, Hooligans, blew them out of the water by actually laying down some grooves and giving the fans something to enjoy.

I like "Epik High" - hip-hop/rap...been around for a while, play live on occasions I've heard (never been)...have two albums. My (Korean) partner was impressed enough to tell me that one of them went to Yale...not that that matters much...

Trot music rocks. I went and bought a Korean Norebong music book and managed to find some of that stuff. Heard a few girls singing along with music on TV that had that distinctive Korean beat, and got em to find it in my Norebong book. Have been trying to practice it ever since. Practice with the bus drivers the taxi Drivers and even some of my students. Bus drivers think it's a blast. Maybe it's something to brighten up their day.

. Yea I like her too. Her pop song ӳ rocks. It's troat too. Saw her live at our university. Got up pretty close with my camera, but there were a million cell phones held on high by people around me doing the same thing. Shes really nice, and is great on stage. Television doesn't take away from anything she has. That's her only song though, but she sang a medly of other pop songs that we all gave her a thumbs up for.

Actually, she's got a whole album, although it was pretty much just an ӳ! vehicle... Still, "Who" and " θ" are decent. Beware of the horrible, horrible "ӳ remix", which may be one of the worst things to have ever been made by a man.

Picked up a tape with what I thought was her song on it (that's what the lady at the tape stall said anyway), but found on playing it that it was troat version sung for those places where they do the old Korean style dancing. Was interesting nevertheless, but I didn't mind because the words of the song were on the otherside of the cover, and I was trying to learn it in Korean anyway.

Tried to buy a tape of her singing the song in a couple of department stores, but they said they didn't have it because it was troat music. Took a while for that to register. Wondered how in the world a top song could be excluded from the store, because of it's style.
