I've been reading these boards for the last few weeks now. I find alot of positive info, but a heck of a lot of negative info as well.

Does anyone have any websites they have made about their experience in Korea that includes pictures?

Also what's the most desirable area in which to live in Seoul

Go to my web site. Just click on the link below (WWW button). I have some online streaming videos -- for 56k and high-speed. If you click on the one called "Teaching in Korea", you will get a nice view of what it can be like. After you see those, scroll down on that page and look for the link to Jiyans site for more great videos.

Good luck!

Man, I could complain all day long about back home, too. Virginians can't drive, they're a bunch of rednecks at heart, there's tons and tons of military there, so on, so forth.

People complain wherever they go.

while i'd have to say my korean experience was a tad bit unique, i think sometimes we tend to focus overly on the negative and forget about all the positives of the country.

i mean, half the guys in the country are married to korean women, so what does that tell you

I heard a voice in my head so I can only say the correct thing: Jesus told me to do it.

Some pictures and accounts of Korea from a girl's perspective are here, if you sort through the archives:

Yep, me too. When I arrived at my hogwan I practically drilled all the teachers about tax, insurance, expenses, my contract... I feel bad now cos my director has been great! Im still waiting for the other shoe to drop though... just cant shake the paranoia I got from all the horror stories!
