I just want to make known my admiration to you. I really admire those of you who are actively learning Korean. Especially those who spend their money and use their freetime to sit through the classes and then to study afterwards. I admire your motivation and your discipline.

Maybe some of you just naturally love languages and to you it is more fun than pain. Maybe it helps you with the girls or you feel compelled to learn it as you live and teach in Korea. Whatever reason, I do admire you and recognize your efforts and sacrfice as being quite commendable.

I think all the "off-topic"comments must not be those who have delved too far into learning the language? I might be wrong--maybe they just don'tthink it is that big of a deal???

I admire people who learn a language isolate that has little significance outside of SK.

I hope I will one day be one of them. Though I'd prefer a prolific language.

I'm no-where near total fluency but can speak enough to freak out any passing Korean (in australia and back in the kimchi-kingdom). Just love the bulging eyeballs and the dropped mouth expressions when they realise a waegook knows their language......

Incidently, anybody else been called a waegookin by koreans in their own home country??? I thought the direct translation must be foreigner but it must mean simply "somebody of a different race to us". Unless of course the world is ruled by Koreans and we are mere unwelcome hairy inhabitants...

I still admire Thorins dog. Spray paint it white and use him for a remake of The Never Ending Story. (before feeding the entire cast and crew)

Cool, thanx for your admiration, but isn't deserved.

So, the question that I really wanna ask you, is what can I admire about you?

Please do tell>

MASH is a frickin' hard worker always trying to improve himself as a teacher and willing to go the extra mile and take on teaching assignments that others would balk at. He's a true professional in every aspect of his teaching that I know about and would be an asset on many a teaching staff.

Trust me, he has some admirable qualities.
