Is there any legal way for foreigners to do part-time jobs such as editing, translating or interpreting? Some of these jobs are one-day or one-time jobs, thus not worth the time, money or hassle of adding it as additional employment. Still, if one were to do many of these, it would be nice to do so in the comfort of legality.
I'd like to do freelance translating, but am not sure how you could register to do this legally. Is it possible on an E-2? How about an F-2? |

I work doing things like that but I'm Canadian and have a Working Holiday Visa. Kind of weird. |

There is a legal way, but not, I believe, through the E-2. About the F-2 I have no knowledge.
But with a D-8 - foreign investor visa - yes, this you can do. It needs an inward foregin investment of 50 million KRW. PM for more details if you want. |

Well, it looks like I'm here for a while...I don't mind paying the low tax rate here if it's going to keep me from getting kicked out or fined.
In the end, if there's no legal way to do it, I guess I'll see how much luck I have on placing the blame on their laws/limitations if I get caught. |
