I'm from So. Cal. too...what city? Orange County, Fullerton for me where there is an abundance of Koreans....I know what you mean...I never was attracted to Korean men, or even noticed other asian men there because they seemed to fall into two categories1) the shaved-head thug wannabes who were occupied with lowering and racing their Integra Type R cars or whatever car (I care) 2) The bookish/Catholic-Christian types from rich families who were rolling around in Mercedes and had every expensive gear imaginable... just weren't attractive to me (I'm shallow...I need to be physically attracted to a man)-------O f course this is a horrible generalization...maybe the hot, sweet asian guys in So. Cal were hidden from me
Before I left for Korea, people were teasing me, saying "you are going to bring back a Korean husband!" I said back to them "yeah, right. I don't think so!"
Well, guess what? I'm going to bring back a Korean husband! Well, he's not my husband yet, but we are planning to marry soon and the first time I saw him, I was blown away by how hot he was and learned some Korean phrases so I can ask him out....it didn't even matter that he couldn't speak English!
But I know what you mean. I love switching to all those channels and watching those moppy-headed glam K. boy singers...and I see many Korean men on the streets with great hair and skin who are dressed to kill (like your avatar).
I also had the similar experience travelling to Mexico. I never found hispanic men in So. Cal hot either but when I went to Mexico, I found the Mexican men the same way as the Korean men here.
I think So. Cal and it's culture really strips ethnic men of their natural beauty because they want to be California mainstreamed. The college boys in particular shave their heads and wear clothes that hide their bodies. Or maybe countries like Korea are just keeping the hot men to themselves and not allowing them to go to the States |
