| I feel like a pendejo, but I can't figure this out. I did something and windows (xp Sp2) has created a wide task bar on the left hand side (states folder places, other places, details). Its fuctional, and I'm sure its not spyware or the like- I just did something in windows. How to I get rid of this? |

Do you mean your start button and everything is vertically aligned on the left? that's how I have mine set by default.
It is easy to change, first right click on the task bar and unlock it. Then left click and drag it to where you want it. |

| My man! Fixed up! Tell me, beav, this is the 2nd time you've helped me with a peculiar problem- why do you teach ESL and not work IT/tech? You are the master. |

Although I'm the alpha-geek in my own little kennel, guys like Demophobe, Lemon, and the recently resurfaced Gord make me leery of peeing with the big dogs.
Thanks for the compliment though. |

Well, I don't know what "pendejo" is, but I guess you have been waiting for a while to use it....
Am I being one for saying that? |

| Pendejo- spanish for A-hole. Anyway, I'm not hating on ya, but when someone needs help- you and the others are more likely to lay knowledge beatdown (alongside the correct answer), whereas the beav is more likely to be considerate and downright friendly. I'm just saying that you guys may have the knowledge, but he has the people skills. |

I can only guess that your intimate knowledge of that word stems from it being thrown your way on occasion?
I know from personal experience that most inferred "beatdowns" actually originate within ourselves. We feel inferior from the outset, and this spills over into our perceptions of the offered help.
If I do come on heavy or go to far in terms of conciseness, it's only to further empower the enquirer. I have no reason to gloat about anything.
In fact, why am I even defending myself here?
You are however, the second person who has said such a thing (the first being Derrek, and we had too much history to think he was being objective), so I will try to K.I.S.S a bit. |

| 5 years working in kitchens...yeah, I've been called pendejo quite a few times... Anyway man, again I'm not trying to tear you down, I'm trying to build someone else up. Whatever was between you and derrek...well, thats between you two. I think you have an awesome scope of computer kung-fu, something I admire you for- and frankly, I have no idea why you are in the ESL industry taking shite from Korea when you could be making some serious bank. |
