Any Americans filing their taxes? I'm really confused as I don't have any "W-2" equivalent for my last school job in Korea, so I don't know exactly how much I made. I take it I use form 2555 but there are two forms: one for tax exclusion and one longer one... Confused
Anyone great with taxes? I'll pay you for your time if you help me fill mine out (I'm an English major--words good, numbers bad!) --PM me.

May I suggest to you and anyone else struggling with tax issues to try a software program like TurboTax or H&R Block. That's what I've been using for the last several years. If you're gonna pay someone to help you, you might as well pay the $39.95 or whatever for one of these. It also saves you time tracking down all the seperate forms you have to fill out. They'll ask you for your information (& provide helps along the way) and when you're done, it'll print out the pertinent forms.

As for your wages, calculate how much you made (in won), how much your school paid for your apartment, and any other financial perks (like your plane ticket), then go to a currency converter website like http://www.xe.com/ucc/ and convert it into dollars. You'll have to supply a brief explanation on your taxes as to how you arrived at that dollar amount.

Check these websites for information on the downloadable software:

http://www.turbotax.com/tax_products/online_products.html?source=215cc1&ttid=ttheeader

http://www.hrblock.com/

Good luck.
