Deodorant is hard to find in Korean stores. It can however easily be purchased in Hannam supermarket (though a bit expensive), and also easily available in the so called import (black market) stores around Namdaemum market..

This stuff like toothpaste lasts a long time so bulk buy when you can and stock up on the stuff.

And to whoever said that if you're suffering now so just wait till July and August they're spot on. I take 3 showers a day (as much to cool me down) and change clothes a lot.

My new place has no aircon so it's going to be a summer of walking around in my boxers and shorts this year. Fortunately I'm not doing split shifts anymore so only one set of work clothes a day and the rest of the time at home I'll be slumming around in shorts and little else.

If you want to find some real anti-perspirant and not just that over-priced Nivea crap, go to www.google.co.kr and do a keyword search for and you will find a whole bunch of online stores that sell Gillette and many other brands. You probably won't be able to order by yourself, due to language problems and national ID limitations, so get a Korean friend or coworker to place the order for you.

If your in Taegu they got the Yankee Shijang near Taegu Yoke(station). They got a lot a the stuff in there. It's the roll on type. Small size sells for W5,000. I usually go there every 3 months and stock up.

Don't know if it will always be there now that they are cutting back on Koean employees on the bases.
