Just looking around for my next contract, have seen a few ads by them that seem to fit what I am looking for. I was wondering if anyone can give me the skinny on them, are they reliable, or a fly-by-the-seat-of-the-pants sort of outfit? Thanks in advance.

I used them once before and it was miserable. Patrick seemed nice at first, but he was adamant that the one position I was offered was ONLY for B.Ed holders, no exceptions. So I told him that I had no interest in his other positions (I dont' have a B.Ed), thanked him and thought that was the end of it.
.
He kept phoning me and trying to force me to take other positions, to the point where he must have sent my resume to another school that I awsn't interested in, because they phoned me, and were totally shocked that I wasn't interested in their school....then he called me and was angry that I didn't take the job.

I did mange to get him to give me the name of the academy I was interested in, and I called them and applied to them directly myself, and they hired me.....turned out that they had said a non B.Ed teacher was acceptable with other qualifications, if it was the "right" person, etc ..... turns out that they would have paid him more if he supplied them with a B.Ed teacher..........so instead he lost ALL of his recruiting fee...

Anyway, that's just one experience, I wouldn't say to avoid them, but I would also say that he's just another recruiter with a million tricks up his sleeve.........

Last year, when I was searching for jobs...I contacted ATC among others.

Julie from ATC gave me a huge runaround....every job I applied for was no longer available, and she would suggest something else I didn't want, or she needed more photos, different photos....it was a bad experience...She would get my hopes up, call me, and set me up with interviews that never happened....it was bad.

So then I contacted another recruiter with another company, some guy named Sam Moon I think...and he said he knew Julie, and refused to deal with me since I had contacted them both, and they work very closely together(pretty much the same company disguised I think)....and got the run around from him for a bit. Turned out neither of them ended up doing anything for me. It was a big fat waste of time.

Best recruiter I found was Canadian Connection. www.canconx.com

Nothing better to be found. Smile

I can't remember which one, like, you know, it was, like Clara, like, or you know, like Julie, or which biatch I talked to on the phone. I don't know, like, she gave me, this, you know, strange like attitude, and like, totally complained about my picture, and like, how it was like, impossible, like to find a job teaching, what was it like, like kids in Seoul, and like could I, like, give her more pictures, so she like....

I'd stay away from ATC and their princess / valley girl recruiters.
