Studies have shown that green tea can be effective in preventing certain forms of cancer. That's all to the good, but it still tastes like boiled grass. Bring on some Darjeeling (preferably with a shot of brandy on the side) anytime. I might live shorter, but I'll live better.

Question for Peony...
What is this?
ձ (Solomon's Seal) is one of my favorites
What does it taste like?

if you like barley tea, then you'll like solomon's seal tea. its a flower, lily family but doesnt taste flowery at all. more like roasted corn tea. the taste is very earthy, nutty and its supposed to be really good for aiding in digestion or something. try it, they sell it loose and in tea bags

Yes, they've got every tea imaginable except the ones that most westerners want: a simple Orange Pekoe, or any black Indian or Ceylonese tea. I'd kill for a pot of Himalayan Oolong right now.

Well, you won't find these teas at the supermarket. But, you can find Orange Pekoe, Oolong and Ceylonese teas quite easily in Korea. Do a search for, ȫ (black tea), ȫ (flavoured black tea), ķ (Oolong tea), and Ƿ (Ceylon tea).

Go here (http://mall.shinsegae.com) and do a search for the Korean words above. I would guess the teas offered here are also available at the Shinsegae dept. stores.

But, these online stores have a better interface (will make your shopping a lot easier if you aren't fully comfortable with reading Korean yet):

http://www.teahouse.co.kr (they sell British and Chinese teas)

http://www.teashopredandgreen.com/ (they have a wide selection of British teas)

http://www.nicetea.co.kr/ (similar selection as the other ones)

http://www.ahmadtea.co.kr/ (good selection of Chinese and Japanese teas, but a bit pricy)

http://www.darjeelian.com/ (single estate and British brand teas, some words are in English)

If you don't want to shop online, you might want to have a look here:

http://www.ahmadtea.co.kr (At the right of the screen, it says their teas are for sale at Samsung Plaza in Bundang and at some of the Hyundai department stores)

They used to make tea from Dogs solidified dung some times ago. They would scoop the stuff up boil it and filter it. It was supposed to be medicinal.
