Does anybody out there have a copy of the public school grammar test?
If so, please PM myself or Yu_Bum_Suk with details.
Thanks in advance! |

Gee, doesn't anyone who works in a public school know anything about their grammar tests, particularly the English test they have to pass to matriculate into university? There must be something online somewhere, but a general search just leads to all sorts of online ESL stuff that's mostly advertising. |

Our private school just did a practice test last week (3rd graders). Is that the test you're talking about?
I think your students can get that stuff online (maybe). I can check around. |

Here's the deal,
They study the grammar out of textbooks. These textbooks should be something your boss can find. I could try to give you the name, but will have to check. The co-workers who studied from the big grammar magazines doesn't work at my school anymore.
I asked around, and they don't take a direct, "grammar test" so-to-speak. They take a more all-encompassing English test. So I can't find anything that I can give you. The practice test they took was not kept... all materials are collected and sent back to the company.
So nothing here.
My Korean co-worker said that proper Korean study materials are plentiful and easily available at book stores. I'd think your boss would find tons of what he needs if he just walked into a book store and purchased a book. |

Do you mean the college entrance test the 3rd-year highschoolers write?
I have a copy of last year's at my office. I'm not sure of the propriety of disseminating it -- seems to me it would be okay but I need to check with the authorities. If I get the green light I'll scan & post it. |

That would be great, as it seems I'm supposed to help design an advanced grammar class for our top level class that will soon graduate (not that they deserve to, by any means). Disciplinary problems might make it all pointless, but having that material would be a great starting point. |

Thanks for the info - good to know that stuff. As for my boss, if you could only see how far he's got his head up his ass you'd see how pointless it is to suggest that he could do anything other than BS parents. He's really not that bad a guy to the FTs, but in all honesty he's the last person who should be in the educating business. He can't find bloody marker pens for us, much less proper educational material. |
