|
|
Am heading down to Busan on the KTX this weekend from Seoul.
It's a spur of the moment thing and I don't know anything about Busan.
Can anyone who lives in Busan recommend any good attractions? Any 'must see' stuff? (I would like to do a couple of things if possible. One in the morning, one in the afternoon).
Could anyone recommend any good info. sources even?
I would REALLY appreciate any help.
Thanks |

Here's a few suggestions:
UN Military Cemetery from Korean War - take subway line 2 to Daejeon, short taxi trip from there. Stop 213

Don't you mean Daeyeon? I haven't been over in that area in a while, but I seem to remember the park being in Daeyeondong.
Also can go up to Yeongdusan Park from Nampodong.
Or go up to Democracy Park from Busan Station. Though both of them are up hill.
Taejong Dae on Youngdo Island is good if he plans on doing a little research before going.
Jagalchi Fish market across from Nampodong is good as well. |

The aquarium out at Haeundae Beach is nice, but a little expensive. W20,000, I think. It's right next to the beach. If you are coming from Seoul, you might not care, but if you are in a smaller city you might appreciate the Indian and Vietnamese restaurants across the street from the aquarium.
One question: If this is Wednesday and you are planning a weekend trip, how can it be spur of the moment? |

Hey thanks alot to Andrew, Fubar and Ya-ta boy.
I did the fish market, Harbour cruise, Seomyeon and Haeundae beach.
Damn you guys have it good down there! I loved the laid back attitude and slower pace of life. Nice people too. I'll definitely give Busan a second look.
and in answer to Ya-ta Boy. I try to give myself a couple of weeks because I usually don't have time to research anything. 3 days IS spur of the moment for me |
