Just got an email from my ex-roomate..........he is in Tokyo, he is the second friend of mine who has married a Japanese girl, here is part of his letter:

Unfreekin believable, she goes to work at 8 in the morning, I am still in bed, then I have all day to just mess around, her parents have a nice cottage I can go to anytime, she gave me a credit card, and at night we usually go out and just eat sushi! I keep tellin her I want to get a job, but she insists I stay at the apartment and write...........write..........write. I have never been so happy, but I feel like Mr.Mom, or like Chuck did! The best thing I ever did was marry her, and

I went to visit him a few months ago, his wife is so cool, I mean COOL! He does what he wants, goes where he wants, my other friend who is married to a Japanese girl has a similar life style.

My friends here in Korea who are married usually have a life like this:

He works at school, university, wife stays at home or teaches at a hogwan., money is always short,.........fighting, lots of fighting. He comes back late from drinking and she is crazy. She really wants to rule the house, the world, the bills, etc........ Am I wrong?

I'll settle this all...in the name of science.

I'll tell my Korean wife that her 'sisters' are being lambasted, and that I should "marry" a few of my Japanese students...for the purposes of research, of course. Then, report my findings.

Feasible?

!shoosh

Ryst

PS: I miss the 'ole America vs. Canada threads...but this retardedness (yes, I know it's not a word) will suffice.

So wait, all he does is just hang out by himself and the wife does her thing?

1. The guy is a total loser and lazy on top of it.
2. Doesnt sound like much of a marriage if he just does his thing by himself.

I cant imagine a point in my marriage where I would want to just go off and do my own thing, leaving my wife alone. Thats not a real marriage, it just sounds like a marriage of convenience: some lazy assed loser got himself a sweet deal so he can be a lazy assed loser. Second of all, even if my wife made twice what I do, theres no way in hell I would be happy being supported. Was this guy castrated lately because he doesnt sound like much of a man to me.

Wait a minute. ALL Korean women are like that? And ALL Japanese women are like this? Or there's enough broad feedback in your findings that one could make an accurate generalization? Man, with just one post you completely rewrote any impressions that I have developed from all the different Korean and Japanese women that I have met. Shocked

That's some brilliant work. With such in-depth, critical analysis of social and cultural psychology, you must have a *coughs* MA in Psychology.

An MA in Psychology. Not a. Although m is a consonant, it has a vowel sound at the beginning - em- and therefore requires you place an, no a, before it.

Other than that, I agree with you about the OP's post.

Pro tip: When being pedantic about someone's writing, it would behoove you not to make a mistake in the SAME SENTENCE you condemn the other person.

Just curious, but are you even aware of when you contradict yourself or your actions?

I made a typo. Big deal. You raped grammar and then you spat at it 5 times while doing the Indian dance of mockery as it lay on the ground before you. You figure out who the bad guy is in this fiasco. Its not me, thats for sure.
