Just saw that Ding Ding Dang in Daugu is looking to hire. My friend just did the bolt from the school and left the country. She hated it there and the director and the school treat the English teachers very poorly. All the English teachers are great but the school is absolute rubbish. Evil or Very Mad

BEWARE.......YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

why don't you be more specific in mentioning the exact location and situation that your friend was in?

i know a few people at a ding ding dang franchise in daegu and all they complain about is the name of the place.

Yeah, I know a couple of folk who completed two years with a Ding Ding Dang school in Daegu and were pretty happy there - in fact they came back to Korea last summer for a four month stay and worked part-time there again before starting a South-east Asia tour.

Keeping with what the others are saying, there are 6 Ding Ding Dangs in Daegu. I, too, know one guy who was at one for 3 years and enjoyed it.

Please be a little more responsible and specific before blacklisting schools on here.

Actually my girlfriend used to manage one of the ding ding dang's in Daegu (not saying which one). I also have many friends that used to work there. They all thought the place was ok ...

... although there was the story of the wanker teacher who came to Korea for a month, decided that they didn't really like it much, then did a midnight runner, and posted the school on a blacklist because they didn't send them the remainder of their wages ... Twisted Evil

Yes...sorry...the location of the school is SuSung-gu. Also, my friend had been working there for 7 months, then decided to leave. I have another friend that worked at the same location, gave a months notice and quit at the 7th month mark. She's still in Korea and enjoying her new location. I know a few people at the school who are incredibly disappointed. They expect a lot of work from their employees and do not show any respect.

But hey...this is just me trying to give a little help to those looking for a job. Details, I am not exactly sure, as I did not work there. But I do know thiseveryone there hates it. Hopefully this will help the TEACHERS who are looking for a job.

I am just trying to relay information of a poor Hogwan and help the individuals coming to Korea. I thought that this was the goal of this message board. If you dont want my advice, then go ahead and take the job. Enjoy!

If it is the DDD in Susung-gu nearest Manchon negari, then I, too, have heard of a couple of teachers who had what sounded like legit complaints. One had been working in Asia for a few years, but found the management at this DDD to be very disrespectful. She skeedaddled. Another was harassed for studying for the LSAT while also teaching there. This was somehow 'against the rules'.
