Worknplay is a website company, and also has recruiters. It's not a school.
Find them here at www.worknplay.co.kr |

Just curious, does he work for YBM/ELS the adults school or YBM/ECC , the mostly childrens' division? |

Hi all,
Is there a big difference between the two YBM/ELS schools "Adult school" vs Mainly children one.....by difference I mean in oraganization, quality of school...not student population and diff. between teaching Adults vs kids. |

globa,
YBM is one of the largest if not the largest chain of schools in Korea. It is hard to generalize about them.
Quality varies from school to school and depends if the school is a full part of the company (a branch) or a franchise.
I worked for an ECC for my first two years here and I had zero problems with them. The school was run professionally and they lived up to their contracts. The curriculum was great and easy to follow.
The schedule was (and still is) heavier then at other schools.
My buddy worked for ELS YBM for 3 years. He quite enjoyed it, except for the nasty split shift.
If you want more info...pm me. |

Hey ya,
I have a friend teaching at one near Express Bus Terminal and the school itself isn't so good. Their pay is only 1.7, low compared to most offers out there, and the director is apparently unhelpful and unaccomadating. I suppose it really depends on the franchise and most of all the director. Make sure to talk to current staff and find out their attitudes, they won't lie to you. I'd say that was the deciding factor when I chose my school, and am quite happy as a result.
Good luck. |

worknplay is a reputable recruiter so far as I know - I think they do a variety, including public school and hogwon jobs
