If anyone saw some elephants wandering around downtown Seoul today, this is why.

Quote:

Six elephants escaped from a zoo and roamed around the South Korean capital Seoul on Wednesday before being herded back to their enclosure, a zoo official said.

From the article:

The five others followed "because they have the tendency to do that", the official said.

The first elephants in korea were a royal gift from india, I believe, several centuries ago.- So the story goes.

The recipient Handler in S.Korea started taunting and shouting at the elephant, calling it an ugly beast- whereupon it promptly smashed ajosshis brains out on the wall.

Elephants are glorious, majestic animals i have had the great joy to see many times in Africa. They certainly don't deserve to be jeered at by scared Koreans who think their yappy Jindokeh is the height of the animal kingdom.

Storming through the restaurant must have been quite scary for the woman hiding behind the counter. Straight through a window and then slipping on glass. Surprised they didn't damage themselves more.
