What does the stamp look like? Is it required? How do I get it, from who?

If I'm changing jobs, I guess the first thing I should do it call Immigration and the Labour Board?

An extra question that I will search for later but will ask anyways... where can I find the numbers to Immigration?

The stamp is called a Doe-Jahng. They use a red ink to stamp documents with it. Every Korean of legal age gets one. Your boss will have one. I have one too, because I needed to have a legal one when I sold my motorcycle. The Doe-Jahng has your first and last name on it. Mine is in Korean. To be legal, it must have your first and last name.

Yes, the LOR must be stamped with it. And you need a Korean and an English version.... stamp both.

If you are being fired, or released to get another job, you will need the letter of release (maybe not if you're being fired, but you still should get it if you can).

OK thanks.

And does anyone know where on the internet I can find the correct number to call to find out the status of my visa? I want to make sure it wasn't cancelled early without my knowledge.

The numbers for immigration and the labour board are listed on the efl-law website.

I was asked to get a letter stating the reason of my leaving. We hashed out a letter that I did not "fit into the culture" of the haggie. Anyone else needed a letter like this?
