I think some spyware hijacked my computer and took over my browser. I can't display any searches within google. It shows that the search took place, but no results display. I think the culprit was a program called 'azesearch' is responsible. I ran a spybot search and destroy, and 128 entries from www.coolsearch pops up. I'm hating it because I can't do some basic research.
Any help? |

There is a utility specifically for this hijacker called CwShredder.exe. You can find it at www.majorgeeks.com. Most simple spyware/adware/malware utilities such as Spybot, Pestpatrol, and Spysweeper will also get this one. Make sure that you run any scans in 'safemode' and clear your cookies. As well, if you decide to use HijackThis, make sure you run it from your root directory so that you can make backups (you can't store backups on your desktop), and don't try to fix the problem yourself because your computer will likely stop working if you kill all of the items or a wrong item from your scan. Instead, post your log on www.cexx.org and wait for someone to reply and tell you which lines to fix. |

I've got a Korean browzer hijack that resets my home page to www.amir.co.kr on every start-up - any suggestions as to how to ditch that? |
