Hi everyone,

Great site. Reading it has helped me a lot lately and answered most of my questions about living and working in Korea.

I'm in the early stages of talking to a guy from YBM (no offer or anything yet) and I was just wondering if anyone on this board works - or knows anyone who works - at these 2 particular schools in Ilsan:

Hwajeong ECC
Seokchon ECC

I tried doing a search for info. on Ilsan itself but couldn't find anything specific. Again, any input would be great (with regards to pollution, number of foreigners, nightlife, shops etc...).

If and when I come to Korea it will be my second teaching job; the first being a year stint on JET. I expect the experience to be vastly different (and somewhat daunting) but it's good that a site like this exists to help me out if I'm stuck.

Cheers.

I know the manager at Hwajeong (she's on maternity leave now) and is the best around....

Ilsan is one of my favorite places around Seoul. It is fairly new, modern, lot's of rich folk (stars, ex-president, etc), lot's of art, music, things to do...much quieter than Seoul and not as dirty...

a nice place

Why does YBM insist, even after I and my friend back home called them on it, that I am an employee of theirs? Am I just that good? Should I simply accept the natural admiration of my sheer magnificence?
