Good for you. Ive seen those guys all wasted on beer or soju, looking like complete asses. Makes one sick. You have to wander about those guys. After you get out of university, shouldnt you grow the hell up and become responsible?

If you don't have fun when you're drinking you ain't doing it right. I drink a lot, often- because 98% of the time I have a wicked night out- laugh, dance, and enjoy life with my friends- (who also drink a lot, often).

I have fun if i drink, thats not the point, the point is the few foreigners i have met here seem like decent people untill they drink and then something happens and they lose it, i can go out have a few drinks have fun talk a lot of crap, and not have to apologise to anyone in the morning

don't you mean debuntantes and men-about-town?

I drink but it's infrequent. usually i just get a bit more out going. sometimes i bring up strange topics (like my menstruating dog) but i wouldn't really say i become an ass.

that said, if i was told several times by people i respected that when i drank i acted like an ass, i'd stop. My wife stopped at least in part because of what i've told her.

Shouldn't you be mature enough to control yourself in all situations?

Wow, I live in Daechidong, I teach at a public school, I'm married to a Korean, I don't drink, I never cut loose. If you aren't exactly like me you are a loooooooser.

Meaningless generalisms ahoy!
You need to meet more people.
The great majority of my friends are a pleasure to socialise with, drunk or no. Much like my friends at home.
There are a couple of people I know who are messy drunks. Much like the percentage at home.

So what exactly is your point?
