Okay so I'm not alone in this not going home with people from bars thing. So, if I'm not going to meet nice young men at bars, where the heck am I going to meet them? At my job, where I am the only waygook? Also dating here is cheap. I myself prefer to go dutch anyhow. It's not the free meal I miss, it's the sober conversations about something other than work or "how wasted" people are. |

waygookin or waygook saram. Not waygook.
You will not meet any responsible, mature man in a bar. From the looks of this board, you will have trouble meeting one anywhere. However, in bars, you will probably only end up meeting broke, frat boy bozos on a drinking binge.
I learned early on that 90% of the foreigners are pretty much irresponsible nomads with no future and no financial standing. You could look for long timers who are more mature and more settled, but we have moved on from dating western women and graduated into relationships with koreans. |

No one on this board is going to measure up to this chick's standards anyway.
Whatever happened to that loser here who wound up stalking her? |

Yeah, graduated. Congrats. All Western Women are worthless. Glad you've figured it out. More for me. |

Yeah, thats usually the problem.
Reminds me of bar-hopping around the Upper East Side of Manhattan and you have 5 women to every guy.. all looking for 'husband material' in the bars.. the reason there is only 1 guy for every 5 women is because every guy who goes there gets shunned for not having enough money or didn't go to the right school or not wearing the right clothes or something or another.. so no one bothers going there anymore except for a few rich and wealthy playboys who fit the bills and play them all.
Don't know if thats sumundur's story.. but she is obviously a very attractive and educated woman (and talented with her writing) who shouldn't have any problem finding a guy.. so I also gotta assume its the standards she applies on a potential suitor. |

Although I would have always said that I didn't like meeting men in bars, I met my partner (also a foreigner) of 4 years in a Korean pub.
Obviously he is a "broke, frat boy bozo who was on a drinking binge," and he has proven to be nothing but an "irresponsible nomad with no future and no financial standing."
But that's okay, cause so am I. |

Why do I think you're one of them?! People like you tend to deny their real identities like some gay guys who begin to hate homosexuality just to convince themselves that they're not one. Pathetic! |

Whoa, I was not stalking her people! Okay, anyhow she told me she had a boyfriend when I did ask her out on a date. What happened to him? Anyhow, I'll tell you why she can't get a date or whatever she is talking about. She's cute and has a great rack, I'll give her that, but she is way too smart, funny, witty, whatever for her own good. Not a lot of guys want to date some professor chick/comedian. If she would talk less, and be less sarcastic, guys would think she was hotter and not treat her like one of their buddies. Perhaps even offer her a date instead of one night. Someone told me she was discussing U.S. trade policy or something while totally plastered at a bar. That is not sexy! |

Or you will see me sitting by myself in the corner drinking a stout and studying Korean. :p You mean there are places other than bars where I can study? |

I personally could never go out with a girl who had nothing to say for herself- and if it wasn't for fear of sounding like the kind of loser who tries to pick up on internet message boards, would say the OP sounds like my type. |

Two that started two years ago and haven't ended. (The third I don't know about anymore).
The 4th was some other guy who was involved with a girl for six-nine months and had geographical differences (opposite sides of the world now).. but he seemed to find another poster to start another.. so its still a few from these boards anyways..
Don't know who else is holding out or keeping secrets though!! Maybe there are more.. ?? |

Another Sumundur and scorned Sunboy thread? Sunboy has 5 posts to his name and all are in the 2 threads about this issue? Sunboy last posted in Dec, which was in her last thread, and then suddenly turns up within 6 hours after Dogbert references him?
Socks are in play. |
