Difference Between Adults and Children Fades Online
At one Internet site with 400,000 members, an elementary school student wrote,... There is constant interest at the site in money, from learning to save your allowance to making money at flee markets. Members even share information on selling used goods and part-time work opportunities like newspaper and milk delivery.
More than half of elementary students use the Internet more than six days a week. In a survey of 865 elementary students by the Committee on Youth Protection, 52.4 percent responded they had no time to study because of the Internet, and 17 percent said their personalities are changing for the worse.... Crimes by elementary school students linked to the Internet are also on the rise.
