Does anyone work there or previously worked for them?
I was wondering how cool this company is. |

Are you american? canadian? if so, then they will hire you. if not, they tell you your accent is not appropriate for their school, even if they have to ask,"where are you from?"
Besides that (my wifes little run in with them) ive heard good things. higher pay scale, but a bit more work. excellent program, and the kids are great to teach as most if not all are returnees. sorry ive never worked there, but a lot of my mates do, and they seem to get on ok. the more pay thing, seems to be a great insentive. |

I've never worked there, but I know some people who have. By your question, "how cool this school is" I feel I should say what I've been told: stuck up, dress codes, no earrings for guys, nothing strange or unusual in your hairstyle or dress. To me that's not exactly "cool". Plus long hours, lots of work...but higher pay. Your call. I've heard mixed tales about the kids, some say great because they're at a prestigious school, others say the opposite: spoiled rich kids.
I took a job for less pay at a more relaxed school. I don't need to deal with bullsh*t, that's why I'm in Korea and not teaching in Canada |

i've worked for them part-time during the summer...there are about 15 or so branches around korea, so it depends on where you are going.
the one i worked for was pretty decent enough...but i heard that there were other branches where it was not pleasant.
so it would be good to go and talk to the teachers that work there. i know the one i used to work at allowed the interviewees to talk to the teachers that worked there...if they won't then, you can take that as a sign of trouble. |
