Being foolish I've gone at got myself a job in Sindorim, which requires me to arrange my own accomodation. I've got about 10 million in key money and a budget of 500,000 in rent each month. Does anyone know of any good realty agents (preferably english speaking to some degree) who operate in Sindorim or along line 2 towards Gangnam, maybe someplace around Seoul National University.
Any general advice regarding setting up a proper non hagwon controlled home in Korea such as how to register key money, how to set up utilities, clauses to watch for in leases etc. would also be appreciated
Eeeeeep moving into the oldies league................

Bu-Dong-San.

Thats the Korean word for 'real estate agency'.

Once you recognize the sign, you will see them absolutely everywhere!

My Korean isn't so strong to go in there on my own and explain it all in Korean.. but what I did was have a Korean-speaker write down exactly what I wanted.. meaning the price range.. and I requested 'oak-tops' and 'basements' which often are cheaper with a lot more space.

Give the piece of a paper to them.. and they'll just start leading you around to all the apartments available in the area.. and will write down the price and deal with it. If you are really serious about one, you'll probably want to have a Korean on-hand you can quickly call to translate the minor details (like maintenance fees and more minor specifics).
