I'm putting together plans for a horseback riding\camping trip to Mongolia this summer.

Going to relive the days of Genghis Khan and the great horde.

Dude, you're welcome to take my place at the school trip this year!

I've got to help watch 350 screaming 1st grade high school girls AGAIN! I hated it last year, and will hate it this year, too.

Heh I was just chatting with a Korean highschool teacher who accompanied her kids down there this week. Rural school, co-ed. She was exhausted -- up all night for 2 nights policing against boozing, smoking, & sex.

Back to the OP, I love small isolated islands. Within the context of Korea, I entertain the fancy of being the only resident expat on Ullungdo. Never been, I just like the outthereness of it on the map. Fatal flaw, I'm not so keen on squid.

My education office is planning an excursion there later this month & I'm thinking to invite myself along. It would be all about soju & superficial konglish, but a chance to visit for free.

I think Japan sounds pretty good to me right now. Korea though, is very pleasant right now except for the humidity and all that Dokdo crap. Mind you, I have heard Japan is worse humidity wise and Ishihara the mayor of Tokyo is a racist criminal thug. I think Sapporo on Hokkaido wouldn't be so bad though. More laid back I hear and not so humid. So Sapporo it is.

Hey Jajdude - you know I can look out for a post for you on my isle: Jeju, if you want...I think you'd do well in Jeju City around City Hall- they have batting cages, PC rooms, and ahhh Uni lasses - also you could hit the Tapdong board walk for a pleasant sea side evening stroll.
