my brother is five years younger than i am. while my parents were out to work, i had to take care of my baby brother - from feeding him to helping him with his homework. i feel like i already raised one kid myself.

i have few girlfriends who have had one or two children already. sure, babies bring them joy and happiness, but most of the time, all i hear is that how little sleep they get and how much they miss going out or travelling.

i had a 14-month-baby over the weekend. my gf from oregon visited me. i hadn't seen her for one year, but sadly, we couldn't do much. she couldn't drink cuz she was still breastfeeding her baby. we couldn't enjoy our dinner because her baby was grabbing everything on the table and yelling at pretty much everything.

just watching my gf taking care of her little baby exhausted me. as soon as they left, i took a four-straight-hour nap.

no, i don't need a baby. it requires too much work. i already have a full-time job.

Rolling Eyes sorry Hollywood

cooking means: to prepare food for eating by means of heat.

unless you have some kind of funky cornflake thing happening it aint cooking Exclamation

Last night was fuscilli with a medley of vegetables, onions, peppers, mushrooms and shredded carrots and topped off with some cajun pork. Served with parmesan cheese and home made buns.

It's called having a sense of humour. You might want to try it sometimes.

I've been bringing lunch to eat once or twice a week with a different co-worker for the last few weeks. Sometimes I'm lazy - a can of chunky soup and a sandwich, but today was yummy chicken chili.

Chicken chili is even better when it's been in the freezer for two weeks.

Last week was salmon alfredo, but with spaghetti instead of fettucine. The hubby bought a giant thing of spaghetti, and I have no idea how to get through it all except to foist it off onto my coworkers.

It's interesting though, no one has figured out my "random" selection of which co-worker to invite to have lunch with me... so they seem to be trying harder to make chit-chat. Smile

I basically pick the person who says the most words in English to me the previous day. Gotta reward the folks who are trying, eh?

Simone

Some people may laugh at this, but seriously a LOT of food tastes better when its been given about 24hrs or more for the flavours to properly mix together. Whilst I don't recommend freezing for flavour development, its clear that the issue here is that the different herbs, spices and other flavours taste so much better when they've been given a little more time to meld together.

Anyone who says "I don't eat left-overs" is missing out on some of the finest food in the world.

Prepare your food the day before, its more delicious (except for like, cereal, and toast and stuff)
