In the last couple of days we've had an ethnic Pole (Wrench) and an ethnic Russian (Soviet_man) enter the board.

I for one think it's a great addition. A little diversity can be a good thing.

This is just a plea for everyone to play nice and not drive them away. The last time we had non-Anglos around, back in '99, some people told them to get out because this forum is only for 'us'. I hope that does not happen again.

So once again, play nice!

I'm happy to see them here, too, and was thinking just that same thing. They're clearly not trolls or socks, and I hope the regulars here will ... take a moment out of the debate long enough to say hello and welcome aboard.

(Hope the two newcomers don't end up whacking each other at some point, too! A Russian and a Pole Shocked Oy vey!)

Your silly PC note - only further alienates people.

One, you seem to think that you need to POINT out their differences and two that you think they NEED YOUR PROTECTION.

Why? Are they so helpless and feeble that they must have your overlordship to survive?

It might work better if you just allow people to be who they are - without your pointing and muttering "waeguk saram!"

I bet - left on their own - they will do just fine.

Sorry to burst your PC bubble.

I'm with Jenny, while your intentions were no doubt sincere, your post was unwarranted and a little odd. Why do you feel the need to act all big brotherly and to give us advice regarding how we should treat other 'foreigners'. It sounds like you have been in Korea too long. Are you also going to feel the need to point out any Maori, Aborigine, Chinese, Koreans, Japanese, French, German and so forth who may currently be members or join in the future?

I don't know about Ya-Ta Boy, but I just like pointing and giggling at people. No harm in that, is there? Neutral
