Who is legally permitted to teach part-time at companies, without the company providing any visa sponsorship?

What visa status is required or which insititutes can legally send out teachers to work off-site at the compnaies? Ie. I heard that companies can legally employee Gyopos on a part-time basis.

Thanks for your information.

I'm interested in the answer to this question as well. Can a public school teacher also teach at a company in the evening? If so, does she need to get permission from her employer? What if her school says no?

It is very simple.

If you are on an E-2 visa you cannot teach legally anywhere else. Not at another school, not at a company and not as a tutor. This includes part-time, third-time and no time.

However, you can obtain permission from your employer and immigration to work at another place at the same time. This requires approval of said employer and immigration and the extra income will be subject to income tax.

Any other part-time work obtained without this permission is illegal and may get you fined and deported if busted by immigration.

So, ask your employer. If he or she is not a jerk and if the part-time job does not interfere with your full time duties then you will be able to work somewhere else after you obtain permission.
