I just find it sad your's shrivel up whenever a woman talks back to you. It's a shameful thing to see happen to another guy.

Straight guy for the Q-U-e-E-r eye exactly: that's just what i was saying to the gf as i saw your comments. Overly effeminazation (sic) of men; emasculation.

No coincidence we should see a few "testicle" comments come about.

Why is there a term invented at all.
Men get catagorized into different labels depending on what we look like, how we dress or how we spend our time, if we use hygiene products even where we work.
Grease monkey, Yuppie, Metrosexual, gay, Bi, Straight, transexual, .... the list goes on.
We are even labelled on our body types, Jock, beefcake, weed...

Why arent the same labels used for women?, Women have labels but it seems men have more.

DO men invent these terms or are they created by women.

There is a show on Onstyle called Singles in Seoul: Contrasexual. What on earth is a contrasexual?

I haven't seen that show but I like "The Queer Eye". I can't wait for the Fab Five to show up at my apartment and make me cool.

dandy /{dndi/ noun
noun (pl. -ies) (old-fashioned) a man who cares a lot about his clothes and appearance

So if you're a metrosexual (and there's nothing wrong with that), it means you're a dandy, but with a 21stC tag. Because you can't rehash an old trend without giving it a new name.

Incidentally, the 20thC is about the only period I can think of when the dandy in some form wasn't a universally respected staple. I'm sure someone (who cares more than I) will be able to say more about the rise of masculinity equalling bad smells, slovenliness, and poor posture and diction during this latest century.

Metrosexual. And I thought it meant people who have sex on the subway. Sounds good. Maybe contrasexuals have sex with cellos. Should be an internet site on it somewhere.

I hate the term metrosexual meself. Partly because it divides the world into those oh-so-cool and hip men who worry about the wind mussing their hairspray and the men who chew tobacco and watch bowling, and leaves room for no center ground at all. And partly because someone just arbitrarily invented the term and now everyone's forced to deal with it.

I remember the good old days when I hated the taste of quiche and no one questioned me over it. Then someone wrote that damn book and if I refused the dish people yelled, "oh, you just don't like it because real men don't eat.." I can see this happening again. If I don't read poetry and cry, someone will tell me I hate metrosexuals.

Yes, subways ... that's what i was thinking as well. Ummm ... doesn't "contra" mean opposed to or against something ???

Maybe they don't like BANG BANG no matter who, where, how, or why. Categorically opposed to the idea, not all that comfortable with themselves, with their clothes off, in any position.

Personally, i think what they might need is therapy.

I think its more of an insult if its said to a man, like your downgrading them from being just a man, to being some type of man.
So instead of being a guy that looks after himself and wears nice clothes, he has to be a "metrosexual" just becuase i like to have sex on a subway does not make me a label.
And yes i have heard of LGBT community....
