My gf has a heck of a with my Mac - when she visits Korean websites, a lot of things just don't work. For example, when I try to use Yahoo's Korean / English translator on my Mac (using both Safari and Explorer), I get this error:

The page ! has content of MIME type application/x-oleobject. Because you dont have a plug-in installed for this MIME type, this content cant be displayed. |
So I click OK, and it still runs the translation through. The only thing that seems to be missing is the feature which allows me to click on the button and hear the word.
What is this error all about? What is MIME anyway?
Is the missing plug-in available, and if so, where?
Other issues:
Cyworld. When she wants to look at her friends' home pages, she can't see their pictures. She clicks on the links, but nothing shows up in the box.
Daum. She wants to watch news video clips, but they don't work, either.
Basically, is there anything I can to do make Korean sites work better on the Mac? |
