Actually wondering where all my hard drive space is. I've got a toshiba laptop 30 gig and running xp. I don't have that much stuff on there that can account for so much hd space being used. A couple of movies and some music comes to 6gig, so what the hell is using the other 10 or so gigs? Is this a thing with laptop memory? I clean up the hd regularly but always seem to be struggling to keep it running on the 1/3-free hd principle that a few people have told me is best for laptops. Probably a dumb question but I could just be missing something. Any light... |

Delete the porn. It really eats up storage space. |

Are you using Norton?
I had the same problem as you. Until I noticed that everything I had sent to the recycle bin hadn't actually been deleted when I emptied the recycle bin! It's because Norton keeps them in the "Norton protected" folder. You have to purge that folder. I went from 13 out of 80gig free space to 26 out of 80!!! |
